Birds are fascinating creatures. Many of them possess incredible abilities. For example, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds migrate 500 miles non-stop with their tiny wings, and Chickadees are able to remember exactly where they stashed their seeds in up to a hundred hiding places for a month!

It could feel the cold wind sk It could feel the cold wind skim over its soft, grey feahers. The sky ended where the earth started, two layers with one on top of the other. The frigid cold bit its icy teeth onto the goose's body despite its best insulation. All it could do was endure. Ahead, it could see the thin spindly trees on withered landscape, the once green grass turning into an unhealthy shade of yellow. The trees were close to bare, the few leaves struggling to cling onto the grey branches. From the smallest of breezes to sudden gusts of wind they threatened to blow those leaves away to the miserable ground below, giving them a sense of fragility. A river, trailing past copses of trees, once whispered to the heavens its tranquil, beautiful existence with mother nature itself , but was then as silent as a grave, its frozen surface sealing itself away as of every begining winter. The trees seemed to cry for help, their mute voices screamed with desperation, its branches curled up to the sky. Like
